CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif. – The UC Davis softball team concluded the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic with a pair of losses Saturday evening. The Aggies fell, 8-0, against Utah and then dropped the nightcap, 6-1, to California Baptist. After the week, UC Davis moves to 5-7 on the season.
The Aggies were in a fight with the Lancers until the seventh inning when CBU put four on the board to pull away with the victory.
Sophomore
Anna Dethlefson totaled four hits in the two games, leading UC Davis with two hits atop the lineup against the Lancers.
In the first contest of the evening, the Aggies were blanked by Pac-12 foe, Utah, 8-0. Sophomore Sara Nakahara and Dethlefson paced UC Davis with two hits apiece.
The Aggies will return home for five games this upcoming week, starting the homestand against Stanford on Tuesday, March 1. First pitch is slated for 3 p.m. at La Rue Field.
