STOCKTON, Calif. – The UC Davis men's tennis team fell on the road to Pacific, 5-2 Wednesday afternoon at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center. The loss snapped a six-match winning streak for UC Davis.
The reigning Big West Tennis Player of the Week,
Ryan Torres continued his winning ways by downing Peter Alam, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3. The win is his fifth straight and team-leading ninth singles victory on the season.
Junior
Mitchell Davis earned the other victory, winning at the No. 6 spot, clipping Coby McCaig, 4-6, 6-4, 10-1. Davis teamed up with junior
Andrei Volgin to win the lone doubles match on the day for the Aggies, 6-1.
UC Davis returns to the Mayra Welch Tennis Center for a Saturday matchup against BYU. The match will begin at 2 p.m.
