FRESNO, Calif. – The UC Davis softball team split its doubleheader against the Fresno State Bulldogs, Saturday afternoon from the Margie Wright Diamond.
The Aggies breezed through the opener, 7-1, and then fell in the nightcap, 11-5. Senior
Delaney Diaz paced the Aggies in the twin-bill, batting .714 (5-for-7) with a home run, six RBI and three runs scored.
GAME 1
Reigning Big West Pitcher of the Week,
Kenedi Brown went the distance, allowing one run on five hits while striking out 11 in the complete game effort.
Diaz supplied the punch, going 3-for-4 at the plate with five RBI, including a three-run home run in the seventh inning.
GAME 2
The Aggies fell in the second half of the twin-bill, 11-5. Diaz added two more hits, scoring two runs and adding an RBI.
The two teams will meet in the rubber match tomorrow at Noon.
