DAVIS, Calif. – In the regular season home finale at UC Davis Health Stadium, the Aggies sent off 20 seniors with a convincing 43-3 win over Idaho State Saturday evening. The win is the fourth in a row for UC Davis, who improve to 5-4 overall and 4-2 in Big Sky play.
The Aggies have now scored over 40 points in four straight games and held the Bengals to just a field goal and 150 total yards.
Senior
Ulonzo Gilliam, Jr., scored two touchdowns to become the all-time leading scorer in program history, surpassing the 274 points from Brady Stuart (2012-15). Gilliam, Jr. finished with 132 yards on 28 carries to notch his 21
st career 100-yard rushing game.
Miles Hastings recorded 270 yards on 25-for-33 passing with two scores, while
Justin Poerio hauled in five passes for a game-high 83 yards.
Trent Tompkins scored his first receiving touchdown of the season, chipping in five catches for 75 yards and also a rushing score.
Rex Connors led the stingy defensive effort with seven total tackles.
Devon King recorded his first interception of the season in his final game in front of the Aggie faithful. UC Davis forced three turnovers and three sacks.
Senior
Isaiah Gomez kicked three more field goals to be a perfect 10-for-10 since Week 5.
UC Davis will hit the road for the remainder of the regular season as the Aggies head north to face Idaho on Saturday, Nov. 12.
