WBB Bounces Back in Big Way Against Boise State Behind Turner's Career-High

Davis, Calif. — A career-high 26 points from Evanne Turner led the Aggies past the visiting Boise State Bronco's by a score of 69-62 at the University Credit Union Center Tuesday afternoon. A late fourth quarter 10-0 run from Boise State threatened, but it ultimately was the Aggies coming out on top as they move to 2-1 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Junior Evanne Turner recorded a career-high 26 after shooting 8-21 from the field. She was 5-15 from behind the arc and added a team-high six rebounds while also picking up two steals.
  • The difference in the game for the Aggies was the three-point line: UCD (9-27 3FGM) vs. Boise State (2-13 3FGM)
  • Three Aggies reached double-digits as Tova Sabel and Tess Sussman both had 10 points.
  • The Davis defense limited Boise State to just a 32% showing from the field.
  • The Aggies tallied four blocks to go along with seven steals, giving the Bronco's offense fits all game. Sydney Burns led all teammates with three steals.
  • UC Davis leaned on the defensive effort from Turner and Tova Sabel who led the Aggies in DRtg.
  • Of the 62 points scored by Boise State, 24 of them came from the Free Throw Line.
  • Megan Jones and Sabel led all teammates with three assists on a day that saw UC Davis record 11 as a team.
  • UC Davis outscored Boise State in fast break points 17-10.
  • The largest lead of the game for UC Davis was 16 points.
  • Eight Aggies reached the scoring column for UC Davis.
