SEATTLE – In the Aggies' lone game against a Pac-12 opponent for the 2022-23 regular season, the UC Davis women's basketball team put together a great effort early, but ultimately fell to the University of Washington 82-60 Friday at Alaska Airlines Arena in Seattle, Washington.
The Aggies drop to 1-1 on the young season while Washington improves to 2-0.

Evanne Turner carried the torch offensively for the Aggies with a team-high 20 points on 7-of-14 shooting, including five three-pointers – four of which came in the first half. Sophomore
Sydney Burns also finished in double figures, collecting 13 points to go along with four assists and a rebound.
The Huskies started strong, shooting nearly 58% from the field and went on a 10-0 run midway through the first quarter. Turner was 3-for-4 from beyond the three-point arc, but the Aggies trailed 25-14 after the opening ten minutes.
The second quarter saw the Aggies and Huskies battle back-and-forth evenly. UC Davis outscored Washington in the second quarter 18-16 with Turner leading all scorers with four three-pointers and 14 points before halftime.
In the third quarter, the Huskies utilized a 14-1 run to extend their lead to 21 points. The Aggies tried to respond, but the Huskies defense stood large and carried a 62-43 advantage into the fourth quarter.
Turner tried to kickstart a comeback in the fourth quarter, however the Huskies would not budge as the Aggies ultimately fell to Washington, 82-60.
UC Davis finished the night shooting 47 percent from the floor, compared to Washington State's 52 percent. The Huskies out-rebounded the Aggies 39-23.
The Aggies return home to face Boise State on Thursday, Nov. 17 at 2 pm PT.
