FARMINGTON, Utah – For the second time this season, UC Davis redshirt freshman
Rex Connors was named the Big Sky Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
Connors recorded his fourth interception of the season and led the Aggies with 10 total tackles in their 58-10 victory at Northern Colorado. The safety tallied six solo stops and was credited with two pass breakups in the winning effort.
On the season, the Pleasant Grove, Utah native leads the team with his four interceptions and 55 total tackles. His four interceptions are the most by an Aggie defender in a single season since Jonathan Barsi picked off six in the 2006 season.
