Aggies Close Out Regular Season Home Slate

Davis, Calif. – The Aggies will host their final two regular season home matches this week as UC Davis welcomes Cal State Fullerton and UC Riverside. Thursday against the Titans will mark Pride Day at Aggie Soccer Field while the Sunday contest against the Highlanders will be Senior Day.

AGGIES HEAT UP IN OCTOBER
Once the calendar turned to October the frequency the Aggies found the back of the net heated up. In the four games this month, UC Davis has netted eight goals and outscored the opposition, 8-3. The Aggies are 3-1 in the month and have showcased 3-0 and 4-1 outbursts.

CAL STATE FULLERTON HISTORY
UC Davis has dropped its last two meetings against Cal State Fullerton but the last time the two programs played in Davis, the Aggies secured a 2-1 victory in 2018. Prior to the last two games, UCD boasted a three-match unbeaten streak against the Titans.

UC RIVERSIDE HISTORY
Like Fullerton, UC Davis has dropped the last two against UC Riverside but protected its home field in 2018 with a 1-0 victory. The Aggies sport a six-match unbeaten streak at home against the Highlanders.  

AGGIES IN THE BIG WEST
At 3-2-2 in conference play the Aggies sit in fifth place with a .571 winning percentage. Their three wins are the third most in the league and the two-matching winning streak is tied for the best in the conference. The matchup against Cal State Fullerton is big when in terms of standings at the Titans are tied for second with a 4-1-2 record.  

FREGOSO SHOOTS UP CONFERENCE LEADER LIST
In her last time out, junior midfielder Leslie Fregoso needed under 10 minutes on the clock and only 5:40 of game time to net her first career hat trick. The Live Oak, Calif. native now ranks third in the Big West this season with 12 points on five goals and two assists. On top of the league standings, Fregoso moved to ninth all-time and second in the Division I era in career goals in the UCD annals. 

NEXT TIME OUT
UC Davis will wrap up the regular season on the road at current Big West leader Long Beach State on Thursday, Oct. 27 with kickoff slated for 7 p.m.
