BERKELEY, Calif. – UC Davis sophomore Ryan Torres led the Aggies at the ITA Northwest Regional at the Hellman Tennis Complex on the campus of California. Torres, the No. 8 seed, advanced all the way to the main singles final, eventually falling to No. 2 seed Ran Amar of Pacific, 3-6, 1-6.

Overall, the Aggies earned nine singles victories over the course of the tournament and two doubles tandems advanced to the quarterfinals.

In the singles competition, freshman Constantinos Djakouris made the round of 16, eventually falling to Alex Chang, 7-6 (3), 6-1, after earning two victories earlier in the tournament. Mitchell Davis and newcomer Lucas Bollinger nabbed first round victories.

Bollinger teamed with Torres and Davis worked with Andrei Volgin to advance to the quarterfinals in the doubles tournament.

The Aggies will continue ITA Tournament play at the Super Regionals at Stanford, beginning on Friday, Oct. 21.
