DAVIS, Calif. -- Check off that New Year's resolution and help ASUCD and The Pantry in one fell swoop by participating in the second annual Gunrock's Gallop 5K, to be held on Feb. 5.
All proceeds from this year's race will, once again, benefit
The Pantry — a free on-campus resource for all UC Davis students that addresses food insecurity by providing fresh food, basic necessities, and ensures that no student ever misses a meal due to financial reasons.
The race package includes a t-shirt, bib, and medal, for each participant. The cost is $40 for adults, $35 for a group of 10-or-more, $30 for students, and $25 for youth ages 3-13. An additional $5 fee will apply if you want your raceday package shipped to you, or you can pick it up for free at the Athletics Ticket Office located at UC Davis Health Stadium during regular business hours.

Participants can choose to walk, run, bike, or even swim, a distance of five kilometers (3.1 miles) at a time most convenient for them or can plan their run to finish at the University Credit Union Center on campus where they will receive a free ticket to that night's men's basketball game against Hawai'i at 5 p.m. Just present your race shirt, bib, or medal, at the ticket window to claim your ticket.
The inaugural event, held virtually in December of 2020, drew 550 runners from across the country, covered more than 1,500 miles, and raised more than $5,000 for The Pantry, which equated to more than 15,000 meals for students.
