DAVIS, Calif. – The UC Davis women's tennis team blanked Nevada, 4-0, Sunday at the Mayra Welch Tennis Center. The win secured the spring home-opening weekend sweep for the Aggies.

UC Davis again raced out to an early singles lead when senior Sara Tsukamoto downed Anastasia Luneva in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0. Freshman Arianna Stavropoulos won at the No. 3 spot against Carla Del Barrio, 6-0, 6-2, and then junior Yana Gurevich sealed the match with a 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 2, over Milka Genkova.

The Aggies won the doubles point for the second straight day as Gurevich and Stavropoulos teamed up to win in the No. 1 position, 6-2. Sophomores Olive Maunupau and Carly Schwartzberg won 6-3 to give UC Davis the early point.

The Aggies return to the court when they head to Southern California for two Big West matches. UC Davis will face Long Beach State on Saturday, Feb. 5, and then play UC Riverside on Sunday, Feb. 6.
