DAVIS, Calif. – The UC Davis men's tennis team continued their Southern California swing to start the spring season, downing Hope International, 6-0 on Saturday at the Fullerton Tennis Center. The Aggies earned the victory after facing College of the Desert in an exhibition match in the morning.

UC Davis breezed through the doubles point as Andrei Volgin paired with Ryan Morgan and Brett Brinkman teamed up with Coleton Hootman to earn 6-1 victories. Abhi Eedara and Ryan Torres won their match, 6-2.

In singles action, Morgan won at the No. 1 spot, downing Adam Szello, 6-4, 6-1. Brinkman won at No. 2 with a 6-1, 6-0 decision over Reid Lizardo. Torres defeated Florian Sirven, 6-1, 6-2, while Cory Pham posted identical 6-2, 6-2 scores to down Ricky Lizardo. At No. 5, Hootman sank Pedro Virente, 6-4, 6-1. The singles match at No. 6 could not be completed.

The Aggies cap off their busy opening weekend in Southern California on Sunday against LMU.
