Due to Yolo County Public Health guidelines and game day protocols, fans are unable to attend home events this season.
DAVIS, Calif. – Yana Gurevich pushed 63rd-ranked Emily Arbuthnott to three sets in her singles match at No. 2 during Tuesday's non-conference contest against the Stanford Cardinal at the Taube Family Tennis Center in Stanford, Calif.
After dropping the first set by a 6-2 score, Gurevich bounced back and forced a third set tiebreaker following her 6-3 second set victory, but lost the match after Arbuthnott won the third frame by a 1-0 (10-5) result.
Facing a lineup that included three nationally ranked players, Stanford swept singles play and won the doubles point to defeat UC Davis, 7-0.
UC Davis will return to the Marya Welch Tennis Center for Friday's 1:30 p.m. match against San José State with a 2-3 overall record, Stanford is now 2-0 this season.
