DAVIS, Calif. – Each Big West school is allowed to exercise institutional discretion regarding fan attendance at spring home events, as announced by the Big West Conference on Thursday.

"We are excited by the latest news from the Big West Board of Directors," said Interim Director of Athletics Rocko DeLuca. "Athletics staff will work with University and Yolo County health officials to determine protocols and procedures that will allow fans to safely attend home games starting April 1, or after pending appropriate approvals."

Intercollegiate Athletics anticipates a department announcement regarding capacity and revised policies by March 26.

The safety and welfare of student-athletes, coaches, staff and guests will remain the top priority with fans safely distanced from competition and each other. UC Davis Athletics will continue to consult with campus and county officials and adjust game day procedures as needed.
