DAVIS, Calif. -- Senior Cierra Hall became the 21st player in UC Davis women's basketball history to reach 1,000 career points, finishing with 11 points and adding a career-high 16 rebounds to help lead the Aggies to an 84-55 victory over Stanislaus State in their return to the court following final exams on Monday night at the University Credit Union Center.
UC Davis shot 55 percent from the field and finished with four players in double figures to improve to 5-3 overall on the season, with 12 players eventually finding their way into the scoring column. The Warriors remained 9-1 overall on the year as the contest was an exhibition for them, playing only seven players with Da'Myiah Lewis and her 17 points leading the way.
Hall became the first Aggie to hit the millennium milestone since 2017, scoring nine of her 11 points in the second half and reaching the mark on a free throw with less than a minute to play in the third quarter. Her 16 rebounds are tied for the most by an Aggie this season, matching the program's single-game Division I mark that was set by teammate Sage Stobbart and her 16 boards against Saint Mary's back on Nov. 13.
Senior Kayla Konrad finished with a season-high 14 points on 6-of-8 from the field, adding four rebounds and two assists in 16 minutes. Freshman Sydney Burns contributed a career-high 13 points on a perfect night shooting, hitting all four of her field goals -- including a three-pointer -- and draining four from the line, while tying her career high with five assists. Sophomore Evanne Turner added 11 points on a trio of three-pointers.
Meanwhile, UC Davis' defense held Stanislaus State to only 31Â percent shooting from the field, including 28 percent from beyond the arc.
The Aggies wrap up non-conference play with two more games this week, traveling to the Bay Area to take on reigning NCAA national champion Stanford on Wednesday (Dec. 15) at 7 p.m., before returning home to host Gonzaga on Sunday (Dec. 19) at 2 p.m.
