DAVIS, Calif. - No. 8 UC Davis took home a pair of MOPs on Thursday but fell to the visiting No. 7 SMU Mustangs 14-6 in their first Eastern College Athletic Conference meet of the season.

Tasia Anstead earned her second Flat MOP of the season with an 83.5-76 win while junior
Malena Palmer earned her first MOP of the season with a 74.5-66.5 win in Horsemanship.
Palmer's victory was tied for the highest winning margin in the event and was a season-high.
Junior
Kendal Scheiner remained unbeaten on the season in Reining, moving to 2-0-1 with her 70.5-69 win. Senior
Sarah Finkel also moved to 2-0-1 in Horsemanship with a 74-73 win.
In the jumping seat arena, junior
Sierra Gundersen is now 3-0 on the season in Flat with her 74.5-57 win keeping her unbeaten.
The Aggies were held without an event win for the first time this season as they were swept in Fences and lost 2-3 in Flat, Horsemanship and Reining.
UC Davis' schedule keeps them on the road until after the New Year with a date at South Dakota State to face the Jackrabbits and Delaware State on the calendar on Nov. 19 and 20.
