UC Davis wrapped up the fall portion of their 2021-22 schedule over the weekend, sending a contingent to the Dixie State Trailblazer Invite in St. George, Utah to compete against nine other schools including UC San Diego, UC Santa Barbara and BYU.
Anna Lee took sixth in the 50 yard freestyle 'A' final in 23.55, a time that was still seventh overall out of 32 swimmers across four finals. Lee qualified fourth overall for the final in 23.41. Both were season best times for the junior. Lee also took seventh in the 100 fly in 55.19, a season-best by over two seconds.
In the 100 breast 'B' final,
Dani Fasan won in 1:03.03 that was the third-fastest time across all four finals. That was also a season best by over two seconds.
Competing in her first major collegiate invite, freshman
Sam Rhodes took fourth in the 200 breast 'A' final in 2:18.07. The first time Rhodes has swam the event this season, that time held up across the remaining four finals as she took nearly two seconds off her 2:20.32 prelim time.

The Aggies finished off the meet by placing eighth in the 400 free relay in 3:27.54, over eight seconds better than their seed time coming into the meet.
UC Davis' divers spent the weekend in Flagstaff, Ariz. at the Lumberjack Diving Invitational.
Senior
Taylor Hornberger took third in the 1-meter on a 14.70 degree dive, scoring 289.90. Hornberger also took third in the 3-meter final, finishing with 289.75 on six dives.
UC Davis had three divers advance to the 3-meter final in Hornberger,
Taylor Schwarz and
Sydney Wren with Wren also joining Hornberger in the 1-meter final.
The Aggies won't compete again until after the start of the year when MPSF foe UC Santa Barbara comes to Davis for a dual meet at Schaal Aquatic Center.
