Gedestad stays hot but Aggies fall to Dons in San Francisco

San Francisco, Calif. - Four pitchers combined to toss a shutout on Tuesday as the San Francisco Dons blanked the UC Davis Aggies 6-0.

Sophomore Nolan Meredith (0-1) started and took the loss on the mound for UC Davis (2-2). Freshman Kaden Riccomini was a bright spot out of the bullpen, going three shutout innings without allowing a hit, walking none and striking out two.

Offensively, the Aggies were led by junior Spencer Gedestad, who went 3-for-4 on the day. 

UC Davis managed one chance with runners on third in the shutout, going a total of 0-for-10 with runners in scoring position. The Aggies last got a runner on third in the fifth, when junior Alejandro Lara made it 90 feet away from scoring with nobody out.

GAME NOTES
» Gedestad led the Aggies, amassing three base hits in the ballgame.
» UC Davis pitchers faced 41 San Francisco hitters in the game, allowing nine ground balls and 10 fly balls while striking out three.

The Aggies are back in action on Thursday, when they will take on North Dakota State at 2 p.m. to kick off a four-game series with the Bison.
