CORVALLIS, Ore. – A combined total of 34 shots were recorded in Sunday's non-conference game at Paul Lorenz Field, and the Aggies nearly found the back of the net on three occasions, but the host Beavers scored in the 30th minute, then tacked on another two goals after halftime to remain undefeated, due to their 3-0 result.
UC Davis will return home with a 3-2 record and begin prepping for Friday's 5 p.m. home match vs. Toledo, the only contest taking place for women's soccer next week.
Of the eight Aggies that recorded a shot at OSU, junior forward
Mahlah Catline led all Aggies with four. She was one of three players who were thwarted by Bridgette Skiba when OSU's goalkeeper stopped Catline's attempt five minutes into the match.
Senior forward
Olivia Jones and junior midfielder
Monet Kunz also had their shots turned away by Skiba in the 78th and 87th minutes, as the Aggies were unable to break through and chip away at the Beavers' early lead.
Starting with Friday's game against Toledo, UC Davis will only host two matches at Aggie Soccer Field this month, with its Sept. 27 clash against Saint Mary's providing fans the final opportunity to see the team in action, at home, before league play commences.
AGGIE EVO
Established during the 2017-18 academic year, the Aggie EVO System is UC Davis Athletics' investment in the primary mission of preparing student-athletes for a successful "launch" after graduation.
Thanks to a collaboration of alumni, university resources, corporate partners, coaches and Student-Athlete Outcomes staff, all Aggies are guided over four years to acquire the skills, knowledge, opportunities and tools to better know and navigate the "World of Work" after graduating from UC Davis.

MARYA WELCH INITIATIVE
Named after the former physical education instructor, coach and Dean of Women who founded women's sports on the campus 25 years before the passage of Title IX, the Marya Welch Initiative for Women's Athletics provides comprehensive support for UC Davis' 16 athletics programs.
Through the support of the Marya Welch Initiative and its group members, student-athletes are provided the best possible opportunity to succeed inside the classroom, and in competition, through special project gifts and by increasing visibility and participation at women's events throughout the year.
All gifts to the Marya Welch Initiative are matched 1:1, doubling the impact on our women's programs.
