DAVIS, Calif. – ROOT SPORTS will feature UC Davis on Sept. 28, in its nationally televised game of the week, when the Big Sky champions host Montana in its 2019 league opener.
In last year's meeting in Missoula, UC Davis earned the first head-to-head victory in program history thanks to its suffocating defense, prolific offense, and a strong second half that saw the Aggies score 46 unanswered points after halftime. That result was part of a six-game win streak, the longest in the team's Division I era, which propelled UC Davis to earn its inaugural Big Sky title and advance to the FCS playoffs for the first time in program history.
ROOT SPORTS did not announce kickoffs for this season's Aggies-Grizzlies matchup on Friday, and will reveal start times for all of its Big Sky broadcasts this summer.
This year marks the eighth year of a partnership between ROOT SPORTS and the Big Sky Conference. Every Big Sky Conference football game will be produced and televised in high-definition, and available for fans to watch on ROOT SPORTS; select games will also be available on AT&T SportsNet.
During a historic 2018 season, the 100th of Aggie football, fans were treated to a historic year that included new program records for the most overall wins in a season (10), most Big Sky wins in a season (7), UC Davis' inaugural Big Sky championship, FCS playoff appearance and FCS playoff victory. Through your support, UC Davis also finished its season as one of the top-ranked teams in the nation.
By purchasing season tickets for the 2019 campaign, football fans will directly support the program, help it continue its #AGScension and create a home environment like no other — a key element of last year's success since the Aggies posted their first undefeated home record as a Division I program.
