MORAGA, Calif. — UC Davis women's tennis dropped a 1-6 decision at St. Mary's on Saturday afternoon, falling to 3-9 this year.
The match was close throughout the doubles play, but the Gaels would take the point with wins on courts No. 3 and No. 1.
In singles play, St. Mary's claimed the first three matches off for the official 4-0 clinch, but both teams elected to play out the remaining matches. Junior Kristina Breisacher highlighted the singles play, as she defeated newcomer Jordan Harris, 7-6(1), 1-6, 1-0(8) as the last match on court. Junior Kelsie Bryant also battled in singles, but fell in a third set tiebreaker, 6-3, 3-6, 0-1(7) to Aubane Ville.
The Aggies will enjoy finals week off, before competing in five matches throughout the spring break week, beginning with a road match at No. 5 Stanford on Monday, Mar. 25 at 4 PM.
