George Kuesis each scored two goals for the Aggies, but a 6-1 run midway through the game lifted No. 10 UC San Diego to a 10-8 upset over No. 9 UC Davis in Western Water Polo Association men's action at Schaal Aquatics Center Saturday.
The Aggies slip to 15-7 for the year and 6-1 in conference, suffering their first WWPA loss since falling to UCSD on October 31, 2014. The Tritons improve to 16-5 overall and 6-1 in WWPA play.

Jonah Addington totaled nine saves between them.
Sophomore Connor Turnbow-Lindenstadt led UCSD with four goals and three steals, while junior goalie Jack Turner tallied 11 saves.
UC Davis never led in the contest but managed to tie the game three times, including a 3-3 equalizer on Hanley's power-play conversion with 5:44 in the second quarter. However, the Tritons scored six of the next seven goals, holding a 7-4 halftime edge and crafting as much as a 9-4 advantage after Alessandro Valania's perimeter goal at the 3:23 mark in the third. Turnbow-Lindenstadt had three goals and an assist during the Tritons' 6-1 run.
Turnbow-Lindenstadt scored another to make it 10-4 early in the fourth, then UC Davis netted four straight to close out the game, including three on 6-on-5 situations. Overall, the Aggies scored five goals on power plays but just 1-for-3 on 6-on-4 chances.Â
UC Davis returns to action for its Senior Day home finale on Sunday, November 11 against Pacific. Game time is 1 p.m. at Schaal Aquatics Center.
