Aggies conclude run at ITA Regional

SEATTLE, Wash. — The Aggies' run ended on day two at the ITA Northwest Regional in Seattle, Wash.

In doubles, sophomore Ivan Thamma and junior David Goulak got broken early in a competitive 8-4 loss to the tournament's No. 5 seeds from Oregon, Thomas Laurent and Joshua Charlton in the round of 16. Laurent, a senior, recently competed at the ITA All-American Championships, and made it to the quarterfinals of the main draw singles.

After Thursday's tough battles in singles, Thamma and sophomore Chethan Swanson were unable to carry the success over to day two, falling in straight sets to their opponents from Oregon and Washington, respectively. 

The team will take a weekend off from tournament play, resuming at the St. Mary's Classic on Oct. 26-28.
