PARK CITY, Utah - Junior wide receiver Keelan Doss earned a spot on the 2017 Big Sky Preseason All-Conference Team, as announced on Monday by league officials during its annual summer media event.
This award is the latest accolade earned by last year's All-Big Sky second team selection.
The Alameda native ended the 2016 season ranked tied for No. 19 in the FCS with 10 receiving touchdowns and No. 21 in receptions per game (6.0). Among all league wide receivers, he also ranked No. 4 and No. 5 respectively in receptions and receiving yards per game.
In addition to posting top national and conference figures, Doss also led all UC Davis players in six major receiving categories: receptions (66), receptions per game, yards (911), yards per reception (13.8), touchdowns and receiving yards per game (82.8).
HERO Sports also recognized Doss' breakout season by selecting him to its Sophomore All-America team.
The Big Sky's Preseason All-Conference Football Team is selected by a mixture of television, radio, and print media, along with institutional sports information directors from around the Big Sky Conference. Coaches do not vote for the preseason list.
