DAVIS, Calif. - Even though his playing career concluded in the NCAA Tournament's Midwest Regional a couple months ago, basketball is still playing a key role in Georgi Funtarov’s life now that he is providing coverage of this year’s NBA Finals for Bulgarian National Television.

Based in Sofia and founded in 1959, Bulgaria’s national television station is covering this year’s Cleveland-Golden State championship series, with Funtarov reporting courtside for his hometown network.

The former Aggie forward’s broadcast debut took place courtside at Oracle Arena, site of the first two games of this series. Keep an eye out for Funtarov on Sunday when the Warriors host the Cavaliers in Game 2 since that is when he will return to his new role as a sports reporter for BNT.
