 DAVIS, Calif. - By shooting a 10-over 294 on Monday, UC Davis ended the opening round of the Stanford Intercollegiate, hosted by Condoleezza Rice, in fifth place. The Aggies will return to Poppy Hills Golf Course, site of the PGA Tour's AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am from 1991-2009 and the 1991 NCAA Men's Championships, to begin their second round at 8:25 a.m. when Hannah Sun begins action alongside golfers from Cal and San José State.
 Competing in Pebble Beach are six top 25 teams and 11 squads featured in Golfstat's recent national top 50 listing. Nationally ranked teams trailing UC Davis entering Tuesday's second round include No. 5 Oklahoma State, No. 13 Northwestern, No. 22 Iowa State, No. 23 Florida State, No. 36 Pepperdine, No. 48 Oregon and No. 50 Cal.
 Yoonhee Kim finished among the top 10 by shooting even par, one of 11 player who posted a 71 or lower on Monday.
 Kim's day started with two birdies throughout the first three holes and a 1-under score on the front nine. Her day ended on a positive note when she recorded a 4 on the Par-5 18th, which pulled her to an even-par score for the afternoon.
 With three birdies carded through her final seven holes, Christine Danielsson finished one stroke behind her teammate, tied with seven other golfers at 12th place with a 1-over 72.
 Samantha Hutchison, who finished her final seven holes with six pars and a birdie, will return to Pebble Beach tied for 24th with a 3-over 74. Madison Wood and Sun recorded a 6-over 77 and 9-over 80 to finish the day tied for 56th and 70th respectively.
 Stanford's "A" team (ranked No. 8) leads the 14-team field at 4-under, the only team to post a score under par, and ls ahead of No. 4 UCLA by eight shots heading into tomorrow's round. Northwestern's Hannah Kim sits atop the individual leaderboard with a 5-under 66.
