TEMPE, Ariz. - Nikita Pradeep battled back to win the second set of her singles match in a non-conference dual at No. 22 Arizona State, but Gossie O'Sullivan took the decisive third set to help the host Sun Devils defeat the Aggies, 7-0. Even though women's tennis dropped the last dual of its weekend, the team will return home with a split of matches played throughout the team's stay in Tempe.

UC Davis will enter next weekend's Causeway Cup road dual with a 1-1 overall record; with Sunday's result, ASU opened its spring season at 1-0.

Outside of Pradeep's result, straight set results were also earned by Arizona State in the other five singles matchups that took place throughout the afternoon.

First serve for the last of UC Davis' season-opening three-match road swing will take place at the Rio Del Oro Racquet Club, against Sacramento State, at 1 p.m.
