SAN FRANCISCO - Lani-Rae Green and Isabella von Ebbe became the first Aggies in program history to compete in the Battle in the Bay Classic, and will have a busy day tomorrow since the two will begin Friday's schedule, at the California Tennis Club, with a 9:45 a.m. doubles match. UC Davis' lone tandem will square off against San Francisco's Shanna Dos Santos and Anna Sokiran.

Due their respective results, which took place Thursday afternoon, each will return the court for their next singles match shortly after their quarterfinal doubles contest concludes.

By defeating Santos Thursday afternoon in a Round of 16 match, Green will now face No. 1 singles seed Lauren Marker in Friday's 1 p.m. quarterfinal. The junior Aggie drew a date with Arizona's top player by posting a 7-5, 6-1 straight-set victory.

Von Ebbe's next singles match will take place in the consolation bracket, against Pacific's Anneroos Nederstigt. As is the case with Green, Von Ebbe's singles contest will start at 1 p.m.
