OGDEN, Utah - Regional sports network ROOT SPORTS will broadcast UC Davis football games at Eastern Washington and Montana State during the upcoming 2016 season, it was announced by the Big Sky Conference on Wednesday afternoon.
The Aggies have been a part of ROOT SPORTS' broadcast package every year since joining the Big Sky in 2012 and are being featured twice for the second time. UC Davis also played twice on the network in 2013 when it hosted Montana State and traveled to face Portland State.
UC Davis and Eastern Washington, which will be meeting for the first time since 2014, will play in Cheney, Washington on Oct. 1 in the second conference game for the Aggies. They'll return to television for a Nov. 12 matchup at Montana State. Kickoff times will be announced at a later date.
Only Montana State (5), Montana (4) and Eastern Washington (4) will appear on ROOT SPORTS more than UC Davis in 2016. The Aggies have hosted four games that aired on ROOT SPORTS, most recently last season against Montana.
UC Davis is currently in spring practices which will end with the annual Spring Game on April 16.
ROOT SPORTS is operated by DIRECTV Sports Network and is available in 13 million households across 22 states.
