DAVIS, Calif. - Kristy Jorgensen and Jessie Lee won both matches played throughout Saturday's non-conference home dual against Sonoma State, UC Davis won the doubles points and five of six singles matchups to record a 6-1 win at the Marya Welch Tennis Center.

With the victory, UC Davis' fourth in its last five played, women's tennis improves to 8-9 while Sonoma State falls to 14-6 after competing in its final road match of the season.

Jorgensen and Lee teamed up to win the Aggies' first doubles matchup, by a 6-0 score, against Amanda Zuidema and Hillary Fazekas. The round of singles matches commenced shortly thereafter once Tiffany Pham and Alex Huie topped Jensyn Warren and Jordyn Kearney, 6-4.

Kamila Kecki kicked-off a successful singles round for UC Davis by defeating Karlee Budge, 6-1, 6-1. Kecki's result was one of three results earned by the Aggies in straight sets.

Lee capped a perfect day by recording a 6-4, 6-0 win against Kathryn Haithcock; Isabella von Ebbe recorded the match-winning point for the Aggies by defeating Katherine Long, 6-3, 6-3.

Lani-Rae Green and Jorgensen collected the final team points for UC Davis by winning their singles contest in three sets, albeit in different ways.

After winning the first set 6-4, Green dropped the second set by the exact same score against Warren. However, she pulled away, broke a 1-1 tie and recorded her eighth dual victory by posting a 6-2 third-set score.

A 7-5 score was posted in all three sets between Jorgensen and Kearney; Sonoma State's No. 2 player took the first frame, but then saw Jorgensen take the following two to collect her fifth win in a row in come-from-behind fashion.

In exhibition play, Samantha Martino and von Ebbe led 6-5 in their doubles matchup vs. Julie Rea and Mariann Bukich before their match ended prematurely once the Aggies won the doubles point.

Martino faced Rea once again when each faced one another in singles action - a match that was won by the Aggie junior, 6-1, 6-1.

UC Davis will not return to action until next Sunday, April 10, when Cal State Stanislaus visits the Marya Welch Tennis Center for a 12 p.m. dual.
