LA JOLLA, Calif. - UC Davis won two of three doubles, five of six singles matches during Sunday's non-conference match at the Northview Tennis Courts in La Jolla and ended its road trip through San Diego on a positive note by recording a 7-2 victory at UC San Diego.

UC Davis will enter next weekend's Big West opener with a 3-2 overall record, the Tritons will continue their season with a 2-4 mark.

Lani-Rae Green, Jessie Lee and Kamila Kecki each recorded an individual sweep, and were involved in five of the seven team points the Aggies recorded throughout the afternoon.

Green and Lee teamed up to record an 8-3 victory during doubles action while Kecki and Frederique Sleiffer, her doubles partner, earned UC Davis' other win with an 8-5 result of their own.

With the Aggies leading the overall match by a 2-1 margin entering singles competition, UCSD evened things up at two apiece by earning its second, and ultimately last team point of the day, after the first singles match ended in the Tritons' favor.

From that point on, all remaining matches in progress ended with straight-set victories earned by the Aggies.

Isabella von Ebbe needed little time to dispatch Shannon Theisen, 6-1, 6-2 and Tiffany Pham defeated Nava Nowamooz, 7-5, 6-1; combined with Lee's 6-1, 6-3 victory, UC Davis officially reached the five-point threshold needed to record the win.

Kecki and Green's singles matchups were the final two of the day and, like the rest of their teammates who picked up team points, needed only two sets to cement their respective result.

Kecki won the first set tiebreaker, 7-4, before breezing through the following set - one she won by a 6-2 score. Once Green ended action by collecting a 7-5, 6-2, result over Alexandra Weil, UC Davis captured its third victory of the season and posted a split of its matches played during its San Diego swing.

Two of the Aggies' three wins have been earned on the road, a strong sign for a team that earned just as many victories outside of Davis last season.

UC Davis' current four-match road trip will continue in Central California next week when the Aggies begin Big West play with duals at UC Santa Barbara and Cal Poly next Sunday and Monday.
