STANFORD, Calif. - By winning their inaugural doubles match during Friday's opening round at the ITA Northwest Regional Championships, Lani-Rae Green - Nikita Pradeep and Kamila Kecki - Samantha Martino will return to the Taube Family Tennis Center Saturday morning to compete in their respective Round of 32 contests.

Green-Pradeep advanced by beating Sacramento State's Louisa Brunetti-Sofia Gulnove, 8-5; their teammates, Kecki and Martino, also collected a doubles win by an identical score against Santa Clara's Giannina Ong - Ellizabeth Stephens.

Both pairs will return to action at 9 a.m. on Saturday with respective matches vs. Julia Eshet-Marlou Kluiving (Oregon) and Karina Manji-Danielle McIntyre (Saint Mary's). The winners of these contests will advance to Sunday's Round of 16.

Green also opened singles play in Stanford with a 6-0, 6-3 victory over Eastern Washington's Erin Blessing, and was one of two UC Davis players who recorded a win in the Round of 128. The other was Martino; she emerged victorious in her inaugural match of the day after posting a 6-4, 6-1 result against Portland State's Ashley Knecht.

Green and Martino's singles main draw runs came to an end in the following round when each dropped straight-set matches to seeded opposition.
