Bruin Diving Invitational - 3-meter results

LOS ANGELES -- Senior Lucy Lafranchise finished 23rd during the prelims of the women's 3-meter competition to lead the way for the UC Davis diving team, as the Aggies closed out day two of the Bruin Diving Invitational hosted by UCLA on Saturday morning at the Spieker Aquatics Center on the Westwood campus.

Following a 35th-place finish on the low board a day earlier, Lafranchise posted her best finish of the weekend thus far, scoring a 240.40 to pace the UC Davis group. Annika Lenz of host UCLA finished first during the prelims with a score of 321.50, but the Bruins' Maria Polyakova passed her teammate to finish atop the standings for the second straight day with a score of 639.95 on the high board, Saturday.

Sophomore Angelina Proshak improved two spots from her finish on the low board on Friday, ending the day 27th on the high board on Saturday, scoring a 225.90. Senior Audrey DeNeffe was next for the Aggies in 30th with a score of 221.15, and was followed by freshman Shaifali Goyal in 32nd (218.10) and junior Serena Yee in 33rd (216.70).

UC Davis concludes its stay in Los Angeles on Sunday morning at 10 a.m., finishing the Invitational on the platform. Results will be posted at DiveMeets.com and posted at UCDavisAggies.com as soon as possible following the competition.
