Results DAVIS, Calif. - In her final appearance at the Marya Welch Tennis Center, senior Layla Sanders was honored by her coaches and teammates before action commenced in Saturday's season finale against UC Santa Cruz. Once play was underway, Sanders and her doubles partner, Kristy Jorgensen, capped a UC Davis doubles sweep by defeating Courtney Lymburner and Sylvia Brummitt, 8-1. The Aggies also won all six singles matches to sweep the Banana Slugs, 7-0.

For the seventh straight occasion, UC Davis collected the doubles point by virtue of winning all three contests. In addition to Sanders/Jorgensen's result, Lani-Rae Green and Tiffany Pham also topped Soph Lundeberg and Zoe Brook, 8-1.
Kamila Kecki and Frederique Sleiffer were the first to finish their doubles match after shutting our Stephanie Graziano and Alex Turnure, 8-0.
With Saturday's results, Sanders/Jorgensen and Kecki/Sleiffer each enter the Big West playoffs with a team-high 15 doubles dual victories.
Once the singles round began, Sleiffer, Kecki and Jessie Lee were the first three Aggies to walk off the courts after each posted straight-set shutouts in their respective matches. Sleiffer blanked Brook, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 4; Kecki downed Graziano at No. 5; Lee breezed past Alex Turnure at No. 6.
With their wins, Sleiffer will head to Indian Wells, Calif., next week with victories in eight of her last 10 singles matchups, Kecki will look to extend a seven-match win streak and Lee collected singles win No. 15 - one shy of matching Sleiffer's team-high total.
Lee is 9-1 in her last 10 singles matches.
Even though Jorgensen, Green and Pham needed a bit more time to secure their team's desired result, each recorded straight-set wins over their respective opponent.
Jorgensen, who competed at No. 1, defeated Lymburner, 6-3 and 6-3.
For the second time of the day, Green handed Lundeberg a loss with her 6-3, 6-0 result.
After shutting out Brummitt, 6-0, in the opening set, Pham took the second by a 6-2 margin to help the Aggies sweep all six singles matchups for the third time in their last four duals.
By virtue of its Big West record, UC Davis will not compete in the first round of the league's postseason tournament, and will open play with an automatic berth in the quarterfinals. As of the time of this release, the Aggies' tournament seed, opponent and first serve time for Friday's match at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden was not determined.
Two league matches still remain before the conference office announces all official information pertaining to this year's event, those duals will take place Sunday afternoon.
