March 8, 2015 DAVIS, Calif. -- UC Davis junior divers Lucy Lafranchise and Audrey DeNeffe pack their backs for Colorado Springs this week, carrying the Aggie banner into the 2015 NCAA Zone E Diving Championships hosted by the Air Force Academy.
The championships begin with the 3-meter competition on Monday (March 9), and continue with the 1-meter on Tuesday (March 10), and the platform on Wednesday (March 11). Prelims begin each day at 11 a.m. local time, with the finals to follow. Live scoring will be available each day at DiveMeets.com.
It will be the third consecutive trip to the Zone Championships for Lafranchise, after qualifying in each of her first two seasons as an Aggie, while DeNeffe will be making her first career appearance at the meet. Both divers will compete in all three events.
Lafranchise posted her best finish at last year's Zone competition on the platform, finishing 32nd with a season-best score of 177.30.
