Aggies earn academic team honors from CSCAA

Feb. 26, 2015

DAVIS, Calif. -- After earning numerous honors for their performance in the pool, the UC Davis women's swimming and diving team added another award to their mantel this week, this time for their performance in the classroom, named as one of 149 teams from across the country as a Scholar All-America Team in the fall by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America.

The team award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams that have achieved a team grade point average of 3.0 or above. The award is presented twice annually, one in the fall semester/term and, again, in the semester/term of the NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA Swimming and Diving Championships (winter/spring).

UC Davis has earned a spot on the team for the third consecutive term, named to the team in both the fall and spring during the 2013-14 season. A full list of the team honorees for the fall is available at www.cscaa.org.

Founded in 1922, the College Swimming Coaches Association of America is the oldest professional organization of college coaches in America. The CSCAA is dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming and diving at the collegiate level.
