IRVINE, Calif. - For the second time in as many days, Frederique Sleiffer swept her matches, UC Davis won the doubles point but dropped four of six singles matchups to fall 4-3 at UC Irvine.

Including Monday's Big West result, UC Davis will continue its four-match road swing on Saturday with a 3-6 overall and 1-2 Big West record. UC Irvine improved to 5-2 and 1-0 respectively.

Kamila Kecki and Sleiffer won their second straight doubles match by downing Vivien Dvali and Mazy Watrous, 8-2 to improve their dual record this season to 5-3.

Once Layla Sanders and Kristy Jorgensen won their doubles tiebreak by a 7-5 margin, UC Davis ended doubles action by collecting the first available team point.

Jorgensen and Sanders are on a tear as the pair has won six of their last eight doubles matches - all at the No. 1 position.

Sleiffer defeated Dvali for the second time on the day - this time in their individual matchup- to extend the Aggies' overall lead, at that part of the afternoon, to a 2-1 score.

Sleiffer has won her last four singles matches at No. 6 and is one of two Aggies to hold a team-best 5-4 individual record.

UC Irvine battled back and won the next three singles matches to complete its come-from-behind effort.

As the lone singles match still in action when the Anteaters collected their fourth point, Jessie Lee and Mazy Watrous competed in a 10-point, third-set tiebreaker to determine a victor in their match.

Watrous won the first set by a 6-3 score, before Lee took the second, 7-6, by virtue of winning that set's tiebreaker, 7-5.

Lee ended up winning her second straight tiebreak, and collected her team's third point, by defeating Watrous, 11-9.

Monday's result also bumped Lee's singles mark to 5-4.

UC Davis will head to San Francisco on Saturday to compete in the last of four consecutive road matches. First serve at the Olympic Club, against the Dons, is scheduled for 3 p.m.
