DAVIS, Calif. -- UC Davis junior Bryce McKelvie claimed a pair of titles on the final day of the 2015 Aggie Invitational, winning the Flight "B" singles main draw crown before teaming with Tommy Lam to win the Flight "B" main draw doubles championship on Sunday morning at the Marya Welch Tennis Center.
The top seed in Flight "B" singles, McKelvie was matched-up against teammate and No. 4 seed Everett Maltby after both won their semifinal contests on Saturday, but it was the elder McKelvie that came away with the straight set win, 6-2, 6-2, to close out the tournament.
It turned out to be the junior's second title of the day as McKelvie started the final day of action alongside Lam in the main draw doubles championship. Matched-up against teammate Maltby and Nevada's Mile Cilic, the Aggie duo battled their way to an 8-6 win, completing an unblemished 4-0 run through the bracket.
Senior Adam Levie was yet another Aggie in a championship, but his consolation final against Cilic went unplayed on Sunday afternoon after posting a pair of wins over Saint Mary's Brian Lee and California's Gunther Matta on Saturday.
Wrapping up their only home event of the fall, UC Davis hits the road next weekend for its third of five events, participating in the UCSB Classic hosted by UC Santa Barbara on Oct. 9-11.
