STOCKTON, Calif. -- UC Davis juniors Bryce McKelvie and Eli Whittle, along with a pair of doubles teams, are into the finals after day two of play at the Pacific Tiger Invitational on Saturday in Stockton, Calif.

The Aggies will tangle with members of the host Tigers in all four scheduled championship matches that begin with doubles at 9 a.m. on Sunday. Singles championships will follow at 10 a.m.

McKelvie improved to 3-0 in singles play on the weekend after upsetting third-seeded Alex Hunt of Saint Mary's in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2. The win sets up a Flight "A" championship clash with top-seeded Sem Verbeek of host Pacific on Sunday morning.

Whittle, the top seed in Flight "B", is on to the consolation championship on Sunday morning after taking down Nevada's Jonathan Aremon in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2. Whittle faces Pacific's Lance Ngo, who also won his semifinal in straight sets.

In doubles, McKelvie and teammate Tommy Lam made their run into Sunday's Flight "A" doubles championship by upsetting the top-seeded duo of James Markiewicz and Alex Hunt of Saint Mary's, 6-3. The Aggies will do battle with second-seeded tandem of Verbeek and Kumara Adavelly of Pacific.

Meanwhile, in the Flight "B" main draw, the second-seeded team of Whittle and Jesse Ross cruised into the championship match, shutting out Saint Mary's Manuel De Luis Lamales and Nash Vollenweider, 6-0. Whittle and Ross will face Pacific's Lance Ngo and Bernardo Oliveira.
