STANFORD, Calif. - Aggie newcomers Isabella Von Ebbe and Alex Huie each earned Round of 128 singles victories during the first day of action from the Taube Family Tennis Center at the USTA/ITA Northwest Regional Championships.

Both secured their respective results in straight-set fashion after defeating opponents from Pacific Northwest schools.

Von Ebbe topped Dana Vorster (Portland State), 6-3 and 6-4, while her teammate, Huie, defeated Katrina Domingo (Eastern Washington) 6-1, 6-3.

Seven other Aggies fell in their first singles match of the tournament and will compete in the consolation bracket when action resumes tomorrow.

In doubles play, Lani-Rae Green and Samantha Martino will face familiar foes in Sacramento State's Emily McColl and Andie Mouzes in the Round of 32 after earning a bye in Friday's first round of doubles matches.

Saturday's Causeway matchup in Stanford will start at 9 a.m.; two rounds of singles and doubles matches will take place throughout the day
