SEATTLE -- UC Davis senior Brett Bacharach and junior Alec Adamson each posted wins to advance in the singles main draw, while all three doubles teams moved into the round of 16 on Friday afternoon, closing out day two of play at the 2015 USTA/ITA Northwest Regionals hosted by the University of Washington.

Adamson posted a straight-set win over Washington's Sebastian Hawken, 6-2, 6-4, while Bacharach outlasted Portland's Felix Fan, bouncing back from a second-set loss to post a 6-3, 3-6, 6-4, win to move on. They will both face-off against a pair of Pacific-12 Conference opponents on Saturday, with Adamson taking on Stanford's Nolan Paige, while Bacharach will meet the highest-ranked singles player in the field in California's Florian Lakat, who is No. 36 in the nation according to the preseason ITA rankings.

The Aggies' doubles teams followed suit, winning three matches on Friday to advance. Adamson and James Wade took down Gonzaga's team of Hayden and Jordan Smith, 8-3, while Bacharach and Adam Levie cruised past Santa Clara's Ashot Khacharyan and Robert Seby, 8-4. Everett Maltby and Bryce McKelvie were the last UC Davis tandem to compete, outlasting Washington's Jake Douglas and Piers Foley, 8-6.

The wins were a bit of payback for Levie and Wade, who teamed up to post doubles victories over their opponents in singles play earlier in the day. Levie fell to Khacharyan, 6-3, 6-2, while Wade battled Hayden Smith to three sets before falling, 1-6, 6-3, 6-4. McKelvie dropped his first match of the weekend to Saint Mary's Alex Hunt in straight sets, while Jesse Ross fell to the No. 67-ranked player in the nation in Oregon's Daan Maasland, 1-6, 6-2, 6-0, to close out singles play.

The quartet could continue play in a yet to be determined singles consolation bracket that would begin on Saturday.

Main draw singles play resumes at 9 a.m. with the first of two matches for the remaining singles competitors at the Nordstrom Tennis Center on campus. The round of 16 matches will begin at 3 p.m. Meanwhile, the main draw doubles contests will pick back up at 6 p.m.
