MORAGA, Calif. - Five Aggies faced seeded competition and three UC Davis players advanced to Sunday's singles semifinals after earning victories in their respective matches during day two at the Saint Mary's Fall Invitational.

Kristy Jorgensen will face Portland's Maja Mladenovic in Sunday's 9:30 a.m. quarterfinal after upsetting No. 6-seeded Stephanie Lin, 6-2, 6-2 in Saturday's Singles A quarterfinal.

The winner of tomorrow morning's matchup will square off in a noon championship against the winner of the bracket's other semifinal featuring Madison Clarke (Santa Clara) and Gaelle Rey (San Jose State).

Another Aggie advanced to the consolation semifinals of the Singles B bracket when Alex Huie defeated Eastern Michigan's Anna Veleva in straight sets, 6-1, 6-4. If she is able to top Cal's Audrey Mayer in her 9:30 a.m. match, Huie will compete against Stanford's Lindsey Kostas or Naomie Rosenberg in her flight's championship.

Singles Flight C's main draw featured victories from Von Ebbe, who punched her ticket to the Sunday's 10:30 a.m. championship by topping Emily McColl (Sacramento State), 6-3, 6-3. Samantha Martino who also competed in the same bracket as her teammate, advanced to the semifinals by defeating Saskia Angerer (Sacramento State) by winning both tiebreakers.

Martino posted 7-6(2), 7-6(1), set scores against her rival from the other side of the Causeway.

In the Singles B main draw, Lani-Rae Green downed Samantha Polayes (GONZ), the No. 3 seed in the flight, in three sets. After winning the first set 7-6(5), she fell in the following set by a 3-6 score. By winning the decisive set, 6-3, she advanced to the quarterfinals where another seeded player, Fresno State's Olivia Noble, awaited Green.
