SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -- A pair of UC Davis doubles teams advanced to the championship match of their respective flights, while another will play for a consolation title, highlighting the Aggie men's tennis team's efforts at the UCSB Classic on Saturday in Santa Barbara, California.

Alec Adamson and Tommy Lam in Flight "B", along with James Wade and Jesse Ross in Flight "C", will play for titles on Sunday, while the tandem of Brett Bacharach and Adam Levie will play for the consolation title in Flight "A".

In singles play, Adamson, Wade, and Adam Levie, all advanced to the main draw semifinals of their flights before falling, and are scheduled to play in third-place matches on Sunday. Adamson and Levie posted three-set wins over Errol Smith of Loyola Marymount and Brent Chin or Oregon, respectively, while Wade was a straight-set winner over UCSB's Cody Rakela.

Junior Bryce McKelvie and sophomore Everett Maltby advanced through the back end of the bracket in Flight "B" and are scheduled to play one another for ninth place. McKelvie outlasted Pacific's Kumara Adavelly, 7-6, 7-5, while Maltby defeated Stanford's Roy Lederman in straight sets, 6-1, 6-3, and battled teammate Jesse Ross through three sets, 6-3, 4-6, 6-1.
