TUCSON, Ariz. -- UC Davis junior Lucy Lafranchise finished third in the 1-meter consolation final to lead a contingent of three Aggies in the top eight, closing out day two of competition at the Wildcat Diving Invitational hosted by the University of Arizona on Saturday afternoon at the Hillenbrand Aquatics Center.

Lafranchise scored a 230.50 to earn a podium finish in the consolation final, placing behind Boise State's Karli Kriewall (244.85) and BYU's Mackenzie Rands (233.80). Sophomore Serena Yee was a close fourth behind her teammate, scoring a 230.35, while Audrey DeNeffe rounded out the UC Davis trio in sixth with a score of 222.40.

Arizona's Samantha Pickens, who led a 1-2-3 sweep for the Wildcats on the 3-meter board on Friday, won for the second straight day, scoring a 331.45 in the championship final.

For the Aggies, freshman Angelina Proshak was 26th in the preliminary round with a score of 197.00, while junior Hanna Tears was 32nd with a score of 184.30.

Competition concludes on Sunday (Nov. 23) at 11 a.m., with the platform preliminaries and finals.
