DAVIS, Calif. -- UC Davis sophomore Hilvy Cheung was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation/Turbo Female Athlete of the Week on Wednesday following a six pack of victories during the Aggies' opening weekend of action.

It is the second career award for Cheung, the 2014 MPSF Freshman of the Year, after first winning the honor on Jan. 22 of last season.

The Fremont, California, native opened her season with a double in the butterfly against San Jose State, winning the 100 in a time of 55.92 and touching the in 200 with a time of 2:02.27 for the Aggies. She followed those performances up with four victories in a non-scoring dual against Pacific a day later, posting individual victories in the 200 fly (2:04.30) and the 200 IM (2:07.81), while helping UC Davis to wins in the 200 fly and 200 back relays.

Cheung also added a second-place finish in the 200 IM (2:08.01) against the Spartans.

The Aggies return to the pool next weekend with a pair of road duals, heading to Southern California to take on Loyola Marymount on Saturday (Nov. 1) at 3:30 p.m., before taking on Fresno State on Sunday (Nov. 2) at 1 p.m.
