Oct. 19, 2014 Draws & Results
STANFORD, Calif. -- Duplicating their run from a season ago, the UC Davis doubles tandem of Alec Adamson and Adam Levie will make a return trip to the semifinals at the USTA/ITA Northwest Regionals following their quarterfinal victory on Sunday at the Taube Family Tennis Stadium in Stanford, California.
The fifth-seeded Adamson and Levie defeated Oregon's ninth-seeded combo of Daan Maasland and Simon Stevens by the score of 8-5, and are scheduled to face another No. 5 seed in San Francisco's Bernardo Saraiva and Nils Skajaa on Monday at Noon for a trip to the championship. Saraiva and Skajaa eliminated the tournament's No. 1 seed of Gregory Bayane and Chasen Melton of California, 8-7 (5), in their quarterfinal bout on Sunday.
A live stream for the match is scheduled to be available by visiting the men's tennis schedule page at GoStanford.com.
Last season, the UC Davis duo upset three consecutive seeded teams following its first-round win, including the No. 3, No. 9, and No. 6 seeds. Should they advance to the championship match, Adamson and Levie will have one of the tournament's two top seeds waiting for them in either No. 3-seeded Andre Goransson and Oskar Wikberg of California or the No. 2-seeded team of Emmett Egger and Jeffrey Hawke from Washington.
Egger and Hawke were the ones responsible for eliminating the UC Davis tandem from last year's tournament, posting an 8-6 win.
