The Aggies will face the Mustangs Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Cal Poly's Mott Gym... UC Davis then travels to Cal State Bakersfield for a 7:00 p.m. matchup with the Roadrunners at the Icardo Center.

The Mustangs (7-4, 4-2 Pac-10) are currently ranked 16th nationally by Intermat and are No. 19 in the NWCA/USA Today Division I Coaches Poll... Boris Novachkov is ranked eighth at 133 pounds and owns a 21-2 overall record... Filip Novachkov is 20-5 overall at 141 pounds and is No. 5 nationally... Chase Pami is No. 11 at 157 pounds and is 22-5 overall... Cal Poly split its weekend decisions against Arizona State and Oregon State... AGGIES IN THE PAC-10 PICTURE
Brandon Low is currently second in the Pac-10 at 133 and is undefeated in conference action at 4-0... Barrett Abel ranks second in the conference at 149 pounds and owns a 7-2 record against Pac-10 opponents... Ricky Alcala is fourth at 285.
RECAP: UC DAVIS 24, SAN FRANCISCO STATE 22
Barrett Abel pinned Josh Nolan at the 4:16 mark of the 149-pound matchup to lift UC Davis to a 24-22 victory over San Francisco State Friday at The Pavilion... Trevor Machado-Ching and Joey Wilson gave the Aggies an early advantage with wins at 157 and 165... Machado-Ching picked up a fall while Wilson had a technical fall... San Francisco State used back-to-back pins and then a major decision to quickly close the Aggie lead... The two teams went back and forth until ABEL earned the win for UC Davis in the final bout of the night.
RECAP: STANFORD 20, UC DAVIS 19
Despite a forfeit at 285 and a major decision at 157, Stanford rallied to clinch a 20-19 victory Saturday at Hickey Gym... Stanford's Ryan Mango won the first bout of the night when he pinned Chris Armendariz at 125, but UC Davis won the next four bouts, including a major decision by Trevor Machado-Ching at 157... Stanford, however, won the remaining four bouts with Richard Kessler sealing the win by posting a 9-1 major decision over Shawn Hoehne.

Barrett Abel went 2-0 on the weekend at 149 and now leads the team in wins with 18... Ricky Alcala (285), who also picked up two wins, has posted 17 victories... Joey Wilson (165) has also recorded 17 wins... Overall, UC Davis has seven wrestlers who have earned double-digit victories... Abel owns the team lead in falls with five while Mark Jay Acosta (125) has posted four falls... Abel has three technical falls and three major decisions on the season... David Watts (165) has earned six major decisions.... WILSON has earned four major decisions.
TREVOR TIME
Trevor Machado-Ching is the only Aggie to start every dual meet in 2009-10 and currently holds an overall record of 14-11... He had a four-match win streak broken Jan. 30 and had recorded a major decision, a technical fall and a win by forfeit during the run... Against San Francisco State and Stanford Feb. 5 and 6, Machado-Ching won by fall and by major decision... Of his 14 overall victories, three are by fall, two are by decision and one by technical fall.
WIN STREAKS
Brandon Low (133) currently owns a five-match win streak that is comprised of two falls and a major decision... Ricky Alcala (285) has won his last four matches, including a major decision over San Francisco State's Steve Franklin who was ranked eighth nationally in Division II at the time... ALCALA also opened the season with a seven-match win streak... Barrett Abel (149) opened the 2009-10 season with seven straight wins, including an 8-4 upset over seventh-seeded Desi Green of Buffalo at the Cliff Keen Invitational Dec. 4... David Watts (157/165) had a six-match win streak snapped Jan. 24... Joey Wilson (165) won six straight bouts at the Fullerton Open for his longest streak of the season.

UC Davis will host the 2010 Pac-10 Wrestling Championships Feb. 26-27 at The Pavilion in Davis, Calif... Session I begins Friday, Feb. 26 at noon with Session II beginning at 6:00 p.m. Feb. 26...
