Day Two Results

STANFORD, Calif. - UC Davis men's tennis continued play at the ITA Northwest Regional in Stanford, Calif. on day two of competition, taking four wins in consolation singles and one win in the first round of the doubles draw.

After taking wins in the first two rounds of singles competition on day one, Toki Sherbakov was defeated in the round of 32 by Washington's Kyle McMorrow, 6-3, 6-3.

In the consolation bracket, three Aggies took wins, including a pair of second round victories. After advancing to the second round, Nick Lopez defeated Javier Millan of Sacramento State, 4-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-5). Kyle Miller advanced to the second round and defeated Portland State's Vetu Mam, 6-0, 7-5. Connor Coates also netted a first round win over Matt Erickson of Portland State, 6-1, 6-1.

In the double draw, Alec Haley and Connor Coates were the only UC Davis duo to pick up a win in the field of 64. Haley/Coates paired up to defeat Gonzaga's team of Sullivan/Chong 9-8 (4-0).

The Aggies will have additional matches on Sunday in both singles and doubles consolation.
