ALBUQUERQUE - The UC Davis men's soccer team fell 1-0 to Binghamton Sunday on the second day of the Nike/TLC Plumbing Invitational at the UNM Soccer Complex in Albuquerque. UC Davis falls to 2-5-0 overall while Binghamton now stands at 3-3-0. John Joslin led the Aggies with two shots.

Binghamton came out strong on offense in the first half and found the back of the net in the 26th minute. Scott Zobre headed in a cross from Kyle Kucharski, just beating UC Davis goalkeeper Ryan McCowan, to give Binghamton the 1-0 advantage.

UC Davis tried to recover with a flurry of shots throughout the rest of the first half. Joslin's first shot in the 30th minute went wide while his second was saved by Binghamton keeper Jason Stenta. Rene Cuellar tried a shot in the 42nd minute but it was blocked by a Binghamton defender.

The Aggies kept the offensive efforts alive in the second half. Paul Marcoux took a shot that Stenta was forced to save three minutes into the period. Stenta also stopped a shot from Lance Patterson in the 50th minute, and the Aggies were unable to recover from the 1-0 deficit.
