SAN JOSE, Calif. - The UC Davis women's soccer team was defeated by San Jose State, 1-0, in double overtime Friday night in a non-conference game at Spartan Stadium. The loss was the first of the season for the Aggies (4-1-1) and ended their four-game winning streak. The Spartans (3-4-0) finally broke through less than a minute into the second overtime period on a header goal by Emmy Belding.

UC Davis held an 18-13 advantage in shots. Marisa Boge led the Aggies with four shots while Rochelle VanBuskirk had three. Aisha Lott, Lisa Kemp and Rachel Kahn each finished with two shots. Sarah Peters posted five saves in goal for UC Davis.

Despite the setback, the Aggies finished off an impressive 3-1 road stretch in which they outscored their opponents 16-3. UC Davis returns home to face Fresno State Sunday at noon at Aggie Soccer Stadium.
